Integrating Energetics and Intuition in your Business
For my soul sisters out there who are either in tune with their intuition or want to be, I am sharing how I have used my intuition in my own business and how it has led me to where I am now - exactly where I know I am meant to be. I mean what is the point in creating a business that doesn’t feel right!
That Niggling Feeling that there is MORE!
I always knew there was more for me. I had this niggling feeling deep in my gut that I didn’t know or understand at the time. I just didn’t feel completely satisfied with what I was doing in my life. It wasn’t until around 2019 when I first started really learning about intuition and how to tune in and listen. Our inner self KNOWS what it wants and what is meant for us and I have found that it is NEVER wrong.
I dove into the world of Abraham Hicks around this time, listening to all of her rampages, reading Esthers books and learning about her and Abraham, and Jeff. If you don’t know who I am talking about, thats ok you don’t need to. (google him) But what I will tell you is that he is one of the leaders in the Manifestation and the law of attraction. I was always curious but now I was obsessed!
When I started on this manifestation journey, listening to her guided meditations came as such a surprise to me. I had alway been a fairly positive person, glass half full and all that. But I also suffered with general anxiety, which grew worse after having children (go figure!). I would listen to her meditation every day and found myself starting to feel less anxious. Her teachings are all about things happening to you for a reason, and that everything that is meant for you will find you. I started saying these things to myself when I started feeling anxious. I realised I was sleeping better, I was more confident, I moved away from people who drained my energy. I also fully believed that I was being led on the path to my true destiny and to fully trust in that! A little too woo woo for you? Hang in there I have something you need to learn.
Your Energetics is Everything
This is where I am going. Listening and learning Abrahams teachings changed my energy. Rather than being anxious, getting annoyed with people and feeling like I am NEVER going to succeed. My mindset shifted to being calm because I fully believed that what is meant for me will find me. When someone annoyed me I walked away or I didn’t let their energy affect mine. When something shitty happened I could always see the lesson and reason for that. And I knew in my heart that I was on the right path to my success, and with patience and continued hard work it would come to me.
And you know what happened - it finally did. Using my intuition as my guidance system I followed it to make changes in my business and my life that is what led me to where I am now. Of course it wasn’t a simple and straight line. Life will never be simple and easy. But fully believing in yourself and your lifes purpose and allowing yourself to be guided by your intuition - has made me into the person I am today and the success and abundance I have in my life.
Intuitive Nudges
I want to share a few examples with you here, but I will go into more detail in another blog post coming soon.
The first time I listened to a sign from the universe and used my intuition was when I was trying to decide whether I should start my homewares and gift shop business with my girlfriend back in 2014. I was a stay at home mum to three young boys - 11 , 8 and 4 yrs and I absolutely LOVED my boys and having the opportunity to stay home and raise them and be there with them through all stages of their life. But something was missing. I needed more and I was being pushed to find it.
So after discussing this shop idea with my friend - we came with the name 44 Home. We were both turning 40 that year, both of our birthdays were on the 4th of the month and our kids played the game 44 Home all the time. Anyway, I lay awake this night and couldn’t sleep because even though my gut and my heart was saying GO FOR IT - practicality and financially it wasn’t the best decision! I asked the universe for a sign.
Moments later I heard a noise coming from my sons room and went to check on him. As I was walking up the hallway there was a flashing light coming from his room. It was his alarm clock, but there was no blackout. I sat on his bed and looked at the clock - it was 2.22. I felt my body tingle all over and KNEW this was my sign. Angel numbers 222 you are in the right place and the right time. So I woke the next morning, called my girlfriend and said ‘I’M IN!’ And have never looked back.
The Story of the Bee
This story is a fun one. I was about 5 years into my design business and had transitioned my business into just working on creating coastal homes. I was obsessed with it, but for some reason I still felt there was something missing. That there was something I was MEANT to be doing. Do you ever get that feeling?
So one morning I was driving to my sunrise walk at 6am, feeling good about life and my job and I noticed the number plate in front of me was BBB. Which isn’t anything to get too excited about except for the car next to it in the other lane was also BBB. Wow, thats cool, I thought. Driving down to the beach I saw the letters BBB another 2 times on number plates I kid you not! I couldn’t figure out what that all meant and just enjoyed my morning walk.
The next week I went on a business retreat with my mentor and a group of about 10 other designers in Daylesford Melbourne. I was nervous as I knew noone and was WAY out of my comfort zone. The first girl I met was Emma, a designer with a successful property styling business and I soon learnt a very smart lady! We started chatting and she asked what I did. I started telling her that I was thinking about rebranding my entire business and moving into the holiday home styling industry but I was hesitant in making that big bold move. As I spoke, a huge bee flew into the house, buzzed around her head, then mine, flew around the house and then went back out the door. We just looked at each other and laughed. But it felt like a sign - and it suddenly hit me - BBB = Bee! OKAYYYYY - maybe I was overthinking it.
We went on throughout the weekend, learning and chatting with not one single sign of another bee. It was one of the best retreats I have ever been on to this day. On the last day we all sat around a table outside in the sun and Kate, my mentor passed her tarot cards around the table and we all had to choose a card. One by one everyone said what their card was and Kate read out what it meant. Then it came to me. My card was something about being fearless and following your intuition to your destiny. And guess what happened. As she read the meaning of my card - that bee came back. Flew around the table a few times then disappeared - was only there when my card was read.
So of course the next day when I got home I started working on my rebrand into the holiday home styling niche! Beautiful client work, an online course and a podcast - Holiday in Style - later I can honestly say that it was meant to BEEEEE!
Intuition in Business
There are so many way’s I have integrated using my intuition in my business. They aren’t all big signs and niggles like above but I do have other amazing stories! So HOW do you use your intution as a guidance system in your business. You need to look out for the signs. When you get that full body tingle - what are your doing or thinking about at that time. When you keep seeing the same angel numbers like 111 - what is happening when you see them or what big decision are you wondering if you should move forward with and you are receiving a sign to go for it! When something feels off, or doesn’t feel quite right it’s not meant for you. When you have an inner knowing that THIS is going to be amazing or is the right decision, then GO FOR IT.
